Most kitchens we walk into before a remodel feel dated, cramped, or just plain uninspired. The layout doesn't work, the storage is lacking, and the whole space feels disconnected from the rest of the home. That's exactly the kind of problem we love solving.
This one came together around a bold design choice - a large dark island with a striking veined stone countertop set against crisp white shaker cabinetry. It sounds like a risk on paper, but when you see it in person, the contrast is what makes the whole kitchen. The island anchors the space without making it feel heavy, and the under-cabinet lighting along the back wall keeps everything bright and clean.
We also worked in a built-in wine cooler tucked into a dedicated cabinet run on the far end of the kitchen. It's one of those details that homeowners think about for years before actually doing it - and once it's in, they wonder why they waited so long. Functional, sleek, and totally intentional.
The open layout flows right into the adjoining living area, with big windows pulling in natural light and a view of the greenery outside. The warm hardwood floors tie it all together and soften what could have otherwise felt too stark or sterile. It's a kitchen that actually works with the house instead of just sitting inside it.
This is the kind of remodel that changes how you use your home every single day. Not just how it looks - but how it feels to cook in, entertain in, and live in. That's what good design does, and it's what we build toward on every job.
