A lot of backyards in the Thomasville and Winston-Salem area have great bones - solid yard, nice home - but nothing to actually use outside. No place to sit, grill, or just enjoy the evening. That's exactly the kind of gap this build was designed to fill.
What we put together here is a wide, low-profile composite deck running the full width of the back of the house. The decking is laid clean and tight, with a consistent grain direction that keeps the whole surface looking sharp. White vinyl posts with black aluminum balusters run the perimeter - it's a combination that holds up well over time and looks good doing it.
The composite material is a big deal for homeowners who want a deck they don't have to babysit. No staining every couple years, no worrying about boards warping or splintering. You get the look of a well-built outdoor surface without the ongoing maintenance headache that comes with traditional wood.
The low step down to the patio keeps the transition natural and easy - no awkward height difference between the deck and the concrete below. It flows. And with this much usable square footage, there's room for a grill setup, outdoor seating, and still space left over to move around.
We build decks like this one to be solid and straight from day one. The framing, the fasteners, the finishing details - everything gets done right the first time. That's what makes the difference between a deck you enjoy for a season and one you're still using a decade from now.
