Building in Mint Hill.

Berg Custom Builds is based in Mint Hill, off Wilgrove-Mint Hill Road. This is not a service area we expanded into. It is where the shop sits, where the trucks park, and where most of us live. When a Mint Hill homeowner calls, the drive to walk the property is measured in minutes.

Mint Hill's lots run larger than the Charlotte average, which is why so much of our work here is outdoor living: decks that step down to grade across a sloped backyard, pavilions that turn an acre into usable space, patios and outdoor kitchens for households that entertain. The town's older ranch and split-level homes are also steady remodel work: kitchens and baths brought up to date without losing the bones.

Projects here fall under Mecklenburg County permitting, and several Mint Hill neighborhoods carry HOA architectural review. We handle both: the county application and inspections, and the HOA submission with the drawings and material specs they ask for. Bain, Wilgrove, and the newer subdivisions off Lawyers Road and Fairview each have their own quirks, and after years of building here we know them.

Being local changes the small things. We can swing by mid-project, respond to a punch-list item the same week, and stand behind the work long after the final walkthrough, because we are not going anywhere.
